From the middle of the Indian Ocean

due to the volume of inquiries, you’re receiving a form response.  Sorry about that.

WavePark is unaffected by the recent earthquake (7.7 magnitude), and following tsunami (13ft. high).  Although we did feel the earthquake, and saw some strange waves on our beaches for hours afterward, we escaped the brunt of the force being 70 miles north of the epicenter, and having our resort facing west, away from the incoming waves.
Southern Mentawai has been hit hard, and entire villages full of people have been wiped out.  As is the case in all earthquake and tsunami events, the news only gets worse as time goes on and reports filter back.
